Buckingham Street, Richmond - Verandah Rebuild
This Richmond home already had strong character, but the original front verandah had reached a point where it was no longer doing the property justice - both visually and structurally.
We approached the project with a focus on longevity and detail. The existing verandah was carefully removed, allowing us to rebuild from a clean foundation. A new timber frame was constructed with precision, ensuring the structure was not only robust, but perfectly aligned with the home's proportions.
From there, we installed new corrugated roofing and upgraded the guttering to improve both performance and durability. The underside was lined to create a clean, refined finish - subtle, but a detail that makes a noticeable difference to the overall presentation.
To complete the transformation, the front facade was refreshed so the new verandah integrated seamlessly with the home's existing character. The goal was not to make it look new, but to make it feel right - and as though it had always been part of the property.
The result is a considered upgrade that enhances both street presence and functionality, bringing a timeless, well-executed finish back to the front of the home.
